All five addresses are in Saratoga Springs, NY 12866. Figures are as Google showed them on the day of the read, and they move every week.
1. Upstate Auto Detailing
5.0 from 183 Google reviews, and all 183 were five stars on the read. That's the most reviews of the three shops tied at 5.0. It's our shop, at 40 North Street. We do the work there or come to your driveway or workplace, and the list covers the executive full detail, ceramic coating, paint correction, paint protection film and window tint. We're open 24/7.
Google lists us as a car detailing service, with window tinting, boat detailing, car wash and vehicle wrapping as extra categories.
2. Saratoga Ceramic Coating
5.0 from 98 reviews, every one of them five stars, listed at 861 NY-29. Google files it as a car detailing service.
3. Thomas' Mobile Detailing LLC
Also 5.0, from 83 reviews, all five stars, at 201 Maple Ave. Same rating as the two above it with fewer reviews, so it sits third on this method.
4. Spa City Auto Detailing
4.9 from 28 reviews at 67B West Ave, 26 of them five stars and 2 four stars.
5. Hoffman Car Wash
3.9 from 493 reviews at 5 Lowes Dr. That's more reviews than the other four put together. The spread is wide: 249 five stars, 108 fours, 45 threes, 32 twos and 59 ones. Google lists this location as a car detailing service with car wash as a second category, which is why it made the cut at all.
How we picked and ranked them
The read is Google Maps results for the search "car detailing" with the location set to Saratoga Springs, NY, pulled through the DataForSEO Maps API at 01:59 UTC on October 24, 2026. It returned 20 listings. We kept a listing only if Google categorizes it as a car detailing service and its address is in Saratoga Springs.
That rule dropped 15 of the 20. Six were filed as car washes, four as auto repair shops and one as a window tint shop. Four more were car detailing listings with an address in Ballston Spa or Wilton, outside the town this list is about.
Then the order: star rating first, and where ratings tie, the larger review count goes higher. Nothing else went into it, and nobody paid to be on it.
Review count matters more than it looks. Spa City's 28 reviews were 26 fives and 2 fours on the read, and one 1-star review would pull that to 4.8. Our 183 were all fives, so one 1-star would still round to 5.0.
What the stars won't tell you
Two shops can both say "full detail" and mean different jobs. Ask what's included, and whether a coating goes on over corrected paint or straight over the swirls. We correct before we coat, every time, since a coating just makes swirls glossier. If you're weighing that side of it, our post on whether ceramic coating is worth it goes through when we'd tell you to skip it.
